Affiliate disclosure
Some links on BeginnerWoodProjects.com — on the website and, in future, in our emails — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It never costs you anything extra, and the price you pay is the same either way.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Where a guide points at a tool or material, the link usually goes to an Amazon search for that kind of item rather than one specific product, because the right saw or the right clamp for you depends on your budget and what your local stock looks like on the day.
What a commission does not change
- What we recommend. The tool list on this site is short on purpose, and it is the same list whether or not a link earns anything. We regularly tell readers to borrow a tool, rent it, have the timber yard cut boards for them, or skip a purchase entirely — none of which earns us a cent.
- Instructions and safety. Build steps, dimensions and safety guidance are written independently of any commercial link. No brand pays for placement in a project guide, and none of our content is sponsored or written by a manufacturer.
- The free roadmap. The First 5 Projects Roadmap contains no affiliate links at all. It links only back to pages on this site.
How to spot them
Affiliate links are marked in the page's HTML with the standard sponsored attribute, and any page carrying one shows a short disclosure above the first such link.
If you would rather not use them, searching for the same item yourself works exactly as
well — we would still rather you built the thing.
Disclaimer
General woodworking guidance for beginners, not professional, structural, or safety certification advice. Always read and follow the instructions and warnings that came with your own tools and materials, work within your own skill level, and get qualified help for anything you are unsure about — especially fixings that carry weight.
