Privacy policy
Last updated: August 2026
BeginnerWoodProjects.com ("we", "us") operates beginnerwoodprojects.com. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is short because the site collects very little.
What we collect
- Your email address — only if you ask for the free First 5 Projects Roadmap, or send us a message through the contact form. We use it to hand over the roadmap, to reply to you, and to send occasional new guides. Every marketing email carries a working one-click unsubscribe link.
- Contact-form messages — the name, email address, subject and message you type. They are held briefly in transit and delivered to our own mailbox.
- Outbound link counts — when you click a link to a shop or partner service we record which offer was clicked, which page it was clicked from, and the country the request came from. It is a plain counter: no cookies, no identifiers, and nothing that can be traced back to you. We use it to know which recommendations are actually useful.
- Analytics — anonymous usage data such as which pages are read and roughly what kind of device was used. Where consent is required by law, the analytics tag loads only after you grant it, and it never loads when a Global Privacy Control signal is present.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth or payment details, and no page on this site takes a payment. We never send your email address to an analytics service.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing. We never buy or import a list of addresses.
How long we keep things
Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them. Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Cookies
The site itself sets no advertising cookies. Where analytics is loaded after consent, it may set its own cookies; declining consent means it is never loaded at all. A merchant you click through to will set its own cookies under its own policy — see the affiliate disclosure.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in that email.
- Decline analytics on the consent banner, where one is shown.
- We honour Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser.
- EU and UK visitors have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection; California residents have rights of access, deletion, correction and opt-out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
- To exercise any of these, use the contact form and say what you want done.
